Occlusion as a factor for diagnosis, planning and execution of restorative work.
 The main objective of the work is to demystify occlusion through simple language and in a logical sequence, so that it is easy to understand and memorize.

The book is presented in 10 chapters, very well distributed and written by renowned professionals of Brazilian Dentistry. Chapters 1, 2, 3 and 4 deal with the principles of Occlusion, Centric Relationship, Posterior Support, Anterior Guide and Vertical Dimension, and their importance in the context of Oral Rehabilitation. Chapter 5 reviews the semi-adjustable articulators and their use in the daily lives of dentists when performing prosthetic work. In chapter 6, the concept and techniques of occlusal adjustment by addition and/or selective wear are very well presented by the authors. The importance of Planning and Occlusion in the various specialties is addressed by the authors in chapters 7 and 8. As a factor of Diagnosis and Treatment in Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD), Occlusal Plates or Orthopedic Interocclusal Devices (DIO) are discussed in chapter 9. Finally, chapter 10 brings an approach on Digital Dentistry, talking about the latest generation tools available in the international market in the application for diagnosis and planning associated with CAD/CAM technologies.
